At the Markets

As we usually do by the middle of October, we shortened our hours once more. We are now closing at 6 PM throughout the week! We are still open everyday and have plenty of produce, so please stop by before the season ends!

The Clarksburg Farmers Market 2021 season is about to come to a close… Be sure to stop by for the last Saturday of the Clarksburg Farmers Market summer season at the Tractors Supply parking lot on Emily Drive. We will be there from 9 AM-1 PM!
But don’t worry, Clarksburg. We will be at the Clarksburg Thanksgiving Market on Saturday, Nov 13th from 10 AM-1 PM, so mark your calendars! The Thanksgiving Market will be held at the Uptown Event Center at 305 Washington Ave, Clarksburg, WV 26301. Until then, see you this Saturday!

Please note that this is the last Saturday of the 2021 summer season. Clarksburg Farmers Market will also hold a Thanksgiving and Christmas market during the fall and winter months.

Try This!

Have you ever tried a delicata squash? After many requests throughout the years, we finally carry delicata squash at all of our markets! This heirloom winter squash has a delicate rind once cooked (hence the name!), so no need to peel unless you want to. Delicata is also known as the ”sweet potato squash”, named after its deliciously sweet brown sugar flavor.1 According to Karen Leibowitz on Modern Farmer, “it tastes like a cross between fresh corn and pumpkin pie”. I can attest to this because the flavor was delightful, which is something I wouldn’t have expected! Here is how you can prepare yours.

Oven/Air Fryer Method:

  • Set oven/air fryer to 400 degrees to preheat
  • Wash and cut delicata squash into two halves
  • Cut the two halves into half inch rinds (refer to picture)
  • In a bowl, mix together the squash with a tablespoon of olive oil
  • Once the squash is covered in oil, line a baking sheet with parchment paper and line up the rinds on the baking sheet
  • Cook the squash for 10-15 minutes
  • Flip the squash over and sprinkle with brown sugar on each side
  • Cook for another 10 minutes and until they are golden
  • Drizzle with local honey (optional) and enjoy!
